VERB POWER
As many of you know, I spent the summer getting my books ready to go on Amazon and other retailers under my ownership. My three year contract with my publisher expired, and I chose to try the “indie” route of publishing.
The years I spent with Grey Gate Media, were great and I learned a ton. So I will always be grateful for that.
Self-publishing was quite an experience. And as the saying goes, if I’d known then what I know now…well, I might not have attempted it. But, another great little saying is…ignorance is bliss and I was downright blissful a lot of days!!!
Anyway, it’s done and all the books are now available. The one I’ve been marketing the most is my New Adult Romance, TELL ME A SECRET, and my efforts have paid off. So far, it’s been doing well surprisingly in the UK moved up in rankings there to #21.
With that bit of success, I now need to add other books to my marketing plan. Today, I’m featuring my non-fiction reference book, STRONG VERBS STRONG VOICE.
It’s a handy little guide for replacing weak verbs with stronger choices. In it, I list 27 commonly used words such as look, run, hit, said, etc. and offer better selections.
I use it myself every time I write. It’s a great resource especially for “newbie” writers, as well as experienced ones.
It’s available in print and ebook. See it and all my other books at: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1/185-4121795-1686817?url=search-alias%3Dstripbooks&field-keywords=ann+everett
GET MONEY BACK WITH SAVINGS CATCHER!
Years ago I signed up for the Bank of America program where they round up to the next dollar every time you use your debit card, and deposit that in a special account.
Before I knew it, I had over $300 bucks in there. Wow! So painless, and those few cents here and there add up quickly. Besides, my debit card is what I use 99% of the time.
Well, Walmart has this program called Savings Catcher where you sign up online and each time you shop there, you enter your receipt number and date and they search other retailers to see if you could have bought the items cheaper. If they find it for less, they give you the difference! I love that they are doing all the work for me.
For those of you who have the fancy smart phones, it’s even easier, because you can just get the app and scan the receipt. I still have a dumb phone, but I want a smart one…sigh…someday.
I highly recommend you take a few minutes and sign up for this great little perk they offer. I’ve made three entries so far, and have almost $5. That’s pretty good for about ten minutes work.
Go to Walmart.com/savingscatcher and sign up today! Hey, $5 bucks, is $5 bucks!

Wow, this has got to be one of the best story’s I’ve read all year. The story starts off with Maggie, a smart graduate student being asked to tutor Jace, the star football player and typical playboy. She’s a no nonsense, not easily affected kind of fir who finds Jace’s lifestyle and lack of respect for other peoples time irritating.
Maggie was picked to tutor Jace for a dual purpose but one of the purposes gets pushed to the background when Jace starts falling for her and all bets are off.
This book has two parts, which was a good idea instead of doing two different books. The second part is when all the secrets start to come together. I was not expecting the tragedy and stubbornness that followed but it was very engrossing and I loved it.
I was very pleased with the way Ms. Everett tied all the ends together in such a way that we were made to think about how, who and why of the whole story.

COUNTDOWN TO RELEASE
COVER REVEAL OF NEW TIZZY/RIDGE BOOK
Thrilled with the cover of my new book…soon to be released, Tied With a Bow and No Place to Go. Should be available by August 20th!
Texas Ranger Ridge Cooper has investigated some odd cases during his career, but when local chicken farmer, Jay Roy Hobbs, is found dead, wearing nothing but boots and a bow, it becomes the strangest one yet. On the positive side, the lawman won’t lack for suspects. Turns out the victim got up close and personal with most of the girls in his graduating class and they’re in town for a reunion. All Ridge has to do is tolerate a talking parrot and consult a color wheel as he tries to determine if the culprit is one of Jay Roy’s three ex-wives or a high school conquest.
While her husband looks into his latest murder case, Tizzy Cooper has problems of her own. She’s joined forces with first cousin and local PI, Jinx Monroe, to follow a possible cheating husband, confront their Nana about baking Boom Brownies, and drench-a-wench at the local Renaissance Faire.
